Tony's story

Plot:  The story's about Tony and his friend Leon. Leon has just returned from the army on San Lorenzo's Day drunk and longs to see his friend. It is a beautiful sunny day, but everything changes when a police officer assaults Leon for no apparent reason. Bleeding from both his mouth and his nose, Leon is put on a wagon and sent to the hospital. The police officer didn't get punished for his crimes and Leon is outraged. He wants his revenge and almost gets it when they discovered the same police officer following them that very same day. While staying at a sheep camp belonging to Leon's uncle, they prepared for the worst.Tony worries because he believes the police officer is from one of the stories he'd heard from when he was younger. While he believes two arrowhead is enough protection for both of them, Leon takes with him a .30-30 rifle in the truck. During another run on the highway they find themself being stalked again. Leon pulled over and got out of the truck and left Tony in the passenger seat with the .30-30 rifle across his lap. Right when the big cop took out his stick and raised it up high, Tony fired his rifle and killed the cop. While Leon doesn't know if he should run or stay, Tony believes he has killed "it" and thinks they're safe now.

The mood in the story:
I think the mood in the story is kind of sad and angry? Leon wants to take revenge and they are both very scared of this cop stalking them.

Technology

They are trying to come up with many positive things about technology. You can play games online, meet new friends and even find the love of your life. Technology makes a normal day so much easier with this new technology.

I totally agree with the opinions and the texts, the new technology makes everything much easier, and helps us in so many new ways. Charity uses the new technology and the internet to gather money for good causes. And you can order pizza and kebab with just a click, we live live in a fantastic world.

                               Events in American history

1.Do you think the colonies had good reason to declare Independence? Why?

1. Yes I think they had good reason because the colonies shouldnt pay for King George III bills because of he's expensive acts during the war

2.Should one country be able to colonize another? When should a colony be granted Independence?

2. One country should  be able to colonize another only if it is the best for both parts. If the colony wants independence and they're ready to "stand on their own legs" they should be granted independence.

3.The Bill of Rights guarantees Americans "the right to bear arms". Many Americans still feel this is important for personal safety and in case they need to revolt  against their own government, They argue that the Minutemen and the local militias only won the fight for Independence beacause they had firearms.
What do you think?
Should everyone have the right to bear arms? All kinds of arms?

3. The Americans feel this is important for safety, but i think it's very dumb. Because of this it is massacres and much crime. It is only the feeling of being safe you get. How many people would fire shots with the gun they got?

4, If you were to present your nation's history in the same way as above, which events would you choose? Why?
- List the events and write a couple of sentences about them.
4. I would choose:
- The Vikings, because they brought traditions to and from Norway to and from Places they visited and robbed
- Norway under Danish and Swedish rule, because it is such a big and important part of Norwegian history
- Norway`s constitution day, because it is important from our history were we were under Danish and Swedish rule and because it was important for our national feeling.
- The heavy water action in Rjukan, because it was an important sabotage event under world war two.

                                                                 BRICK LANE

The novel's main character, Nazneen, is herself one of Britain's new faces, an immigrant garment worker stitching zippers and buttons in her public housing flat. An unspoiled girl ''from the village,'' she arrives in London at the age of 18, when her father arranges her marriage to 40-year-old Chanu. She speaks no English, and Chanu sees no need for her to try.

Her daughters will eventually teach her, and also her friend Razia, who learns ''so that when my children start telling dirty jokes behind my back, I'll be able to whip their backsides.'' At first, however, Nazneen's England is so narrow that she's afraid to leave what's euphemistically called the ''estate,'' and her only distraction is the exotic televised image of Torvill and Dean. ''Ice e-skating,'' she calls it.

London isn't home, not for Nazneen, and even less so for Chanu, who plans to go back to Bangladesh ''when I am a success.'' But success never comes. Chanu's degree is never finished, and he frames his certificate for ''cycling proficiency'' instead. It's easy enough to laugh at him, but like Nazneen herself we also learn to appreciate his kindness -- and realize too, from the ''unhappy'' eyes in his ''round, jolly face,'' that he already knows he has failed.
